Pre-show
-Create accessible copy for event website
-Handle access-related inquires via email or phone
-Consult ADA handbook & standards if necessary & advise/recommend necessary changes
-Accessibility assessment of layout & general suggestions for DOS
-Ensure unobstructed view for all is possible in accessible area, adjust accordingly
-Implement DOS tasks with festival grounds/staffers to be completed
-A once-over on-site run-through for quality assurance
At the show
-Work with medical, site operations, security, production for flow of getting mobility patrons safely around grounds & enjoying the show
-Aide in accessible section with any needs
-Ensure bathrooms & food options are readily/easily available near accessible section
-Essential “runner” for ADA section to cater to needs of patrons
After the show
-Provide evaluation & honest review of execution of event
-Offer suggestions, tips for planning & implementing for positive accessible patrons for next time
-Include comments, reviews & opinions from patrons who attended & utilized ADA section
-Plan for next year’s event & be go-to advisor for accessibility in planning stages
